Hey all!
As most of you probably know by now, Six Flags Entertainment Corporation and Cedar Fair, L.P. are in the process of merging into one newly combined company, which will operate under the Six Flags brand name (retaining the name Six Flags Entertainment Corporation from one-half of its predecessors).
The merger has been announced to officially close on July 1st, 2024, meaning that this date will be considered the official founding date of the new corporate entity formed from the joined forces of Six Flags and Cedar Fair.
To reflect this historic moment in the theme park industry, there will of course be some changes to Six Flags Wiki going forward, and I wanted to put out this post as a guideline for what content will look like in a post-merger world.
For starters, here is a list of all of the properties that will be added to the Six Flags portfolio, per Cedar Fair's website. Some water parks are located within the parks themselves and not considered separate properties.
Cedar Point (Sandusky, Ohio)
Cedar Point's Express Hotel (Sandusky, Ohio)
Hotel Breakers (Sandusky, Ohio)
Lighthouse Point (Sandusky, Ohio)
Sawmill Creek (Sandusky, Ohio)
Cedar Point Shores (Sandusky, Ohio)
Cedar Point Sports Center (Sandusky, Ohio)
Sports Force Parks (Sandusky, Ohio)
Valleyfair (Shakopee, Minnesota)
Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom (Allentown, Pennsylvania)
Worlds of Fun & Oceans of Fun (Kansas City, Missouri)
Worlds of Fun Village (Kansas City, Missouri)
Knott's Berry Farm (Buena Park, California)
Knott's Soak City (Buena Park, California)
Michigan's Adventure & WildWater Adventure (Muskegon, Michigan)
California's Great America (Santa Clara, California)
Canada's Wonderland (Vaughan, Ontario, Canada)
Carowinds (Charlotte, North Carolina)
Carowinds Camp Wilderness Resort (Charlotte, North Carolina)
SpringHill Suites by Marriott Charlotte at Carowinds (Charlotte, North Carolina)
Kings Dominion & Soak City (Doswell, Virginia)
Kings Dominion KOA (Doswell, Virginia)
Kings Island (Mason, Ohio)
Schlitterbahn Galveston (Galveston, Texas)
Schlitterbahn New Braunfels (New Braunfels, Texas)
Secondly, a few guidelines for what kind of content should and shouldn't be included on the wiki going forward.
Attractions, shows/entertainment, characters, and events that are present in the former Cedar Fair parks on and following July 1st, 2024 are fair game, and articles can be created about them. Articles should NOT be created if the subject only existed prior to the merger.
Don't create articles for past events in a series of events. For example, Knott's Scary Farm 2024 is going to be under the management of Six Flags, whereas the 2023 event and prior were under Cedar Fair. It would therefore not be appropriate to create an article for Knott's Scary Farm 2009, for example.
If an attraction is SBNO (standing but not operating) at a park and hasn't re-opened since the merger, an article for this attraction is not necessary until if/when the attraction re-opens.
That should be all for now! The process of incorporating the former Cedar Fair parks onto the wiki shouldn't be a long and painful one. On a personal note, I'm looking forward to seeing what comes out of the merger, even if it is quite a strange thing to adjust to. Of course, let me know if there are any changes that should be made to the above guidelines.
Have a Six Flags Day!

So, I am just here because someone replied to my post about me ranking all the six flags great america rides back in 2022 and it is 19 June 2024 and how is this the first post in 2024? What the hell we are almost halfway into 2024 and not a single thing has been posted here? I don’t think anybody cares about six flags anymore.....
Came her from the LSOH wiki and watching a bajillion Love At First Fright vids! And the rumors are true! Frankenstein does sing the classic from Little Shop of Horrors (LSOH). As a major LSOH fan, I nearly jumped out of my chair when I found out he sang that! Even though it’s an edited version, it’s still the same song! And I love it for that. Now I kinda wanna go to next years show! Hopefully that song is part of the Great Adventure soundtrack… :D
This pretty much sums up why they've gotten stricter since last year, with threats of ejecting guests who ignore safety guidelines...

Chimelong Paradise in China just closed their Dive Coaster. They need to sell it to Six Flags and have it moved to one of their parks and have it rethemed to a DC character like Shazam, Supergirl, Batgirl, the Flash, Cyborg, Aquaman, Black Adam or Lex Luthor.

We lost track for a while after reaching 2,000 pages, but we achieved a new milestone today... Eagles Flight is the 3,600th article on this wiki.
Magic Mountain’s standup coaster is themed after a Jim Carrey character. Name me other famous Jim Carrey characters.
