- April 18 – Goliath opens at Six Flags Fiesta Texas.

- June 20 – Evel Knievel opens at Six Flags St. Louis.
- June 28 – A 17-year-old South Carolina teenager is killed after being struck by Batman: The Ride at Six Flags Over Georgia. According to Cobb County police, she had attempted to take a shortcut into the park by walking through the ride's restricted area.
- ? - Six Flags leases operations of American Adventures in Atlanta to Zuma Holdings, LLC, no longer making the park a sister of Six Flags White Water.

- July 22 – Greg Burson dies.
August[]
- August 30 – A 20-year-old man is hospitalized after being hit and knocked unconscious by one of Ninja's trains at Six Flags Magic Mountain when he allegedly climbed multiple security fences to retrieve a hat. He was airlifted to the UCLA Medical Center, and was pronounced dead at 2 a.m. on the following day due to blunt force trauma.
