4th of July Celebration, formerly July 4th Fest, was an annual event at Six Flags parks in the United States, celebrating its Independence Day. It was replaced by Star-Spangled Nights during the 2025 season.
History[]
Six Flags theme parks would traditionally held their respective "4th of July Celebration" on a single night, sometimes charging separate admission for access to family-style picnics, fireworks, music, and other activities.[1]
Starting in 2014, Coca-Cola began sponsoring July 4th Fest as multi-day celebratory events when July 4th would fall on or near weekends.[2] In 2023, it was referred to as the Six Flags Fireworks Celebration before becoming the "4th of July Celebration" in 2024.[3][4]
After Cedar Fair and Six Flags Entertainment Corporation merged in July 2024, their respective parks adopted Star-Spangled Nights as the new event to celebrate the July 4th holiday during the 2025 season.[5][6]
