Bayou Blaster and Sonic Slam were 185 foot-tall twin S&S launch towers located in the Pontchartrain Beach later joined the Mardi Gras section in Six Flags New Orleans from May 20, 2000 until August 21, 2005. Bayou was a Space Shot that shot riders to the top at 185 feet, while its brother Sonic was a Turbo Drop that slowly lifted riders to the top and drops them in a short free fall. in 2008 it was removed from the Defunct Six Flags New Orleans three years after Hurricane Katrina, and was brought to Six Flags Great Escape refurbished and renamed to Sasquatch in 2009 replacing Rainbow's former spot after it's removal after 2007.
