Buccaneer Battle was a water ride at Six Flags Great America. It opened on May 15, 2009, and permanently closed in 2021. Described as a "splash party" ride, the ride could hold 8 passengers per boat and other people can shoot a water gun at the other people.[1]
History[]
In 2009, the ride opened to the public after replacing Déjà Vu. The ride's last date of operation was in 2021, and in that same year was teased to be removed from the park. In 2022, it was listed as "closed for the season," and fences blocked entry to the ride. In 2023, the ride was quietly removed from the Six Flags website along with Dare Devil Dive. The sign was removed from the portal, and by May 19, 2023, construction walls were erected around the ride. The ride was demolished in August 2024 and on August 15, 2024, it was announced that the ride would be replaced by Wrath of Rakshasa.
