The ride was manufactured by S&S and was originally opened as Rodeo Rider in 1999 at the park's Crackaxle Canyon area. Along with Rodeo Rider, several other children’s attractions were installed attract visitors, including Daffy's Duckaneer, Foghorn Leghorn's Barnyard Railway and Yosemite Sam's Wacky Wagons. However, the Rodeo Rider name was short-lived as the attraction would be renamed Lil' Bronco Buster in 2002.[1]
Wiggles World was introduced as a new children's area in the Spassburg section between the 2009 and 2010 seasons. Some new rides, as well as already-standing attractions, were given new paint jobs and names that resembled Wiggles characters and objects. For Wiggles World, Lil' Bronco Buster was transported to the area from Crackaxle Canyon and renamed the Wiggly Trail Ride. At the end of the 2010 season, Six Flags terminated the licensing for Wiggles World and this area of the park would become Kidzopolis. As a result, the Wiggly Trail Ride was renamed Buckarooz for the 2011 season. The area was renamed to [Thrill Seeker Park]] in 2020 and the ride was renamed to "Bucking Broncos" in April 2023. In September of that year, it was moved back to Crackaxle Canyon.[1]
