Butterfly Habitat is an animal attraction located near Monkey Business, Hammerhead Shark, and Thrilla Gorilla in Six Flags Discovery Kingdom. The 100-by-50-foot glass atrium houses around 500 specimens of up to 50 species of free-flying butterflies in a controlled environment.

History[]

The habitat was opened in 1988 as the first walk-through butterfly exhibit of its kind in the western United States. It is being updated with The Rainforest Trail, which is scheduled to open in Spring 2023.[1]
