For the area in other Six Flags parks, see DC Universe. |
DC Universe is a themed area at Six Flags Magic Mountain, based on DC Comics.
History[]
The area was opened during a media preview for Green Lantern: First Flight on June 30, 2011, replacing the former Gotham City Backlot, which closed at the end of the 2010 season.[1] The DC Universe area closed in March 2020 along with the rest of the park due to the COVID-19 pandemic.[2][3] It re-opened in April 2021 and closed after Fright Fest 2021 to receive a major renovation.[4][5][6] It was soft re-opened in July 2022 with the addition of Wonder Woman: Flight of Courage. However, renovation of the area was not completed until during Fright Fest 2022 in the following fall.[7]
