Freaks Unleashed is a nightly show at the Palace Porch during Fright Fest at Six Flags St. Louis. It signals the transition from "Thrills by Day" to "Fright by Night"

The show debuted for Fright Fest 2011, and has since become a staple of the event. The Grand Witch and her minions perform a ritual where they summon the "Freak Train" to deliver the Freaks into the park.

Show description[]

2011 and 2012 version[]

The Grand Witch's minions dance to "Ladies and Gentleman" by Saliva, and Riff Raff announces the Grand Witch's arrival, and her plan to release her Freaks into the night. The Grand Witch arrives, and performs Etta Jame's "Something's Got a Hold on Me". The Freak Train unloads at St. Louis Station while "The Wolf" by Fever Ray plays, and the Grand Witch is given her book and casts her summoning spell. When done, she turns her minions onto the crowd, and they attack while she leaves.

2017 version[]

The Grand Witch's minions dance to "Ladies and Gentleman" by Saliva, and the Grand Witch arrives. One of her minions performs "This is Halloween" by Danny Elfman, and before they can finish, Python and his Sycophants raid the area. Python announces his plan to take over Fright Fest, stating that some of the Grand Witch's Freaks are already under his control. Furious, the Grand Witch locks Python away in a chest, but he escapes. As the Freaks arrive and separate into two separate factions, the Grand Witch decides to join forces with Python, stating that the sum of their power is greater than hers alone. The Grand Witch and Python say the summoning spell together, and the Freaks attack the crowd.

2013-2016, 2018 version[]

The Grand Witch's minions dance to "Ladies and Gentleman" by Saliva, and then one of her minions performs "This is Halloween" by Danny Elfman. The Grand Witch arrives, and the Freak Train unloads at the St. Louis Station. She then casts her summoning spell, which brings all remaining Freaks out and turns her minions to the crowd.
