Georgia Surfer is an upcoming roller coaster located at Six Flags Over Georgia in Austell, Georgia. It will be the first Intamin Ultra Surf model built in the entire world that was oringinally intended set to debut in the summer of 2024. But due to supply and construction challenges, it is set to open in spring 2025. The ride features a powerful LSM launch system that will accelerate riders reaching speeds upwards of 60 miles per hour in a back and forth shuttle layout on the 590ft U-shaped track, also giving a panoramic view with free spinning gondolas on a state-of-the-art surfboard vehicle design. It contains 4 interactive water features when soaring through a scenic splash pool. These effects include a vertical wave wall, a low cutting splash combination, a combination of both a vertical wave wall and a low cutting splash, and a water vortex tunnel. The ride offers a splash zone for on-lookers to get wet as a way cool off in the hot Georgia summers as the train passes by. Riders will encounter 4 different airtime experiences at the airtime hill and 3 weightless airtime moments at the gravity stall ramps.

Georgia Surfer will be located in the ScreamPunk District section of the park, replacing the former Splashwater Falls Shoot the Chute water ride.

History[]

Six Flags Over Georgia annouced Georgia Surfer as what was once the headlining attraction for the 2024 season during a presentation that took place during the Coaster Fest event on August 19, 2023. The ride was initially unnamed as it was a method for the park to let fans name the new attraction. It was the first Intamin roller coaster Six Flags had ever purchased since Green Lantern: First Flight at Six Flags Magic Mountain in 2011 and the first coaster to open at park from the ground up since Dare Devil Dive. On January 31, 2024, the park annouced "Georgia Surfer" as the official name of the attraction and an annimated rendering of it released in late-February 2024. However on August 12, 2024, Six Flags Over Georgia announced on their social media that Georgia Surfer's opening was postponed to spring 2025 due to supply and construction challenges
