The Giant Wheel was a ferris wheel attraction located at the Fest Area of the Great Escape.

History[]

The ride was manufactured by Chance Rides and opened at the park for the 1989 season. The Giant Wheel was last known to have operated during Fright Fest 2019 and did not operate again when the Great Escape re-opened after being temporarily closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.[1] In April 2021, the park confirmed that the ride would be retired and removed it from their website.[2] It was disassembled in November after the 2021 season, and the parts were put into storage.[3]
