Granny's Country Kitchen is a restaurant at Six Flags Great Adventure, located in Adventure Alley. It opened in 1992 as simply Granny's Country Fried Chicken, replacing the former Gingerbread Fancy restaurant in the Fantasy Forest. Contrary to favored belief, Granny's Country Kitchen was never actually named after Granny from Looney Tunes but a different, original Granny character.
With Time Warner's increasing interest in Six Flags, efforts were made to greatly improved thematic quality in the parks and with this came a lot of changed to existing attractions and structures. After the 1991 year, the former Gingerbread Fancy chicken restaurant was given a new design, becoming Granny's Country Fried Chicken. The name was later changed to Granny's Country Kitchen in 1996.
