Gunslinger (Six Flags Over Texas)

Gunslinger (formerly Texas Tornado) is a swing ride located in the Boomtown section of Six Flags Over Texas.

History[]

The ride originally opened in the Goodtimes Square section of the park in 1983 as "Texas Tornado". In 1989, the ride was moved to the former site of the Antique Carousel in Boomtown to make room for Flashback. In 2006, Six Flags Over Texas inherited some large gun props from a similar Gunslinger ride that formerly operated at Six Flags AstroWorld. The gun props were installed during re-theming in the following year and the ride reopened as "Gunslinger" for the 2008 season.^[1]
