Six Flags Holiday in the Park or simply Holiday in the Park is an annual Christmas event at Six Flags parks featuring holiday themed rides, entertainment, food, areas and more. It debuted in 1985 at Six Flags Over Texas, and had since been introduced to most Six Flags parks at various times.[1]

Holiday in the Park began at Six Flags Over Texas in 1985. It was the first park to debut the event.

Six Flags Over Georgia[]

The original run of Holiday in the Park at Six Flags Over Georgia only lasted from 1989 to 1990, but the event returned for the third time in 2014 after a 23-year absence.

Six Flags Fiesta Texas[]

The original run of Holiday in the Park at Six Flags Fiesta Texas only lasted from 1996 to 1997, but the event returned for the third time in 2007 after a nine-year absence.[2]

Holiday in the Park debuted at AstroWorld for the park's 1988 season and was held until 1997.

The Great Escape[]

Holiday in the Park was first introduced at The Great Escape in 2009.[3] Despite being considered "successful" with "absolutely outstanding" attendance, the 2010 event was cancelled with a claim that it was a "business decision".[4] Since 2012, there has been a "Holiday in the Lodge" next door at Six Flags Great Escape Lodge & Indoor Waterpark every late November through the month of December.[5]
