Kids Boo Fest is a family-friendly Halloween-themed event at Six Flags theme parks. It operates during the daytime of select days in the fall season, side-by-side with Fright Fest and the Oktoberfest Food Festival. Activities for kids include hay mazes, pumpkin painting, costume contests, and trick-or-treating.[1]

Following the cancellation of Fright Fest 2020 due to the COVID pandemic, a predecessor to Kids Boo Fest was first tested at Six Flags America in 2021 as BOO By Day, a daytime alternative to Fright Fest 2021 events which may be deemed too frightening for some parkgoers.[2]

Kids Boo Fest 2022[]

The 1st annual Kids Boo Fest was held concurrently with Fright Fest 2022 at most Six Flags Parks which participate in Fright Fest events, except for Six Flags Darien Lake, which had just recently been re-acquired by the Six Flags Entertainment Corporation.

The following parks held their first year kids' event as Kids Boo Fest by Day:

Kids Boo Fest 2023[]

The 2nd annual Kids Boo Fest was held concurrently with Fright Fest 2023 at all Six Flags Parks which participate in Fright Fest events, including for the first time at Six Flags Darien Lake and Six Flags Mexico.

Kids Boo Fest 2024[]

The 3rd annual Kids Boo Fest was held concurrently with Fright Fest 2024 at all Six Flags Parks which participate in Fright Fest events. With the introduction of Fright Fest Extreme events at some parks, Six Flags required all parkgoers 15 and younger to be accompanied by a chaperone aged 21 or older to remain in the park after the evening hours.[3]

Kids Boo Fest 2025[]

The 4th annual Kids Boo Fest is to be held concurrently with Fright Fest 2025 at Six Flags Parks which participate in Fright Fest events. Six Flags requires parkgoers 15 and younger to be accompanied by a chaperone aged 21 or older to remain in the park after 4pm.[3]

Starting in 2025, Six Flags Discovery Kingdom and Six Flags Magic Mountain replaced their Kids Boo Fest events with Tricks and Treats, which was previously associated with Cedar Fair parks.[4][5]
