The area was developed by Creative Kingdoms, the same company behind Adventure Trek: Quest of the Guardians.[1] Looney Tunes Boomtown was added to Six Flags Ohio in 2000, a year before it became Six Flags Worlds of Adventure; the area was built over the former site of The Wave wavepool.[2] In 2004, the park was purchased from Six Flags by Cedar Fair, which restored the park's original Geauga Lake name and renamed the area to Kidworks Play Zone.[3]
