Mardi Gras is a New Orleans themed land at Six Flags America. It opened in 2014, replacing the Southwest Territory section of the park.
The area features The Wild One and Ragin' Cajun, among several other Mardi Gras themed rides and attractions.
History[]
- "Not one, but two new rides and a completely new look will bring the celebratory style of the Big Easy to Six Flags America. The new Mardi Gras area marks a considerable expansion to our excellent collection of rides and a major enhancement to our theming."
- ―Park President Rick Howarth[src]On August 29, 2013, Six Flags announced the all-new Mardi Gras section of the park, replacing Southwest Territory. The area would feature Ragin' Cajun and French Quarter Flyers, as well as rethemes of the other rides in the Southwest Territory section.[1]
