Mind Eraser is a suspended looping roller coaster manufactured by Vekoma and located at Six Flags Darien Lake.

History

On November 17, 1996, Darien Lake announced that they would be adding The Mind Eraser. The ride officially opened on May 17, 1997. It has the same color scheme as Mind Eraser at Elitch Gardens and had the same color shame as Mind Eraser at Six Flags New England before the latter reopened as The Riddler Revenge in 2018, with new trains and a different color scheme.

At the beginning of the 2024 season, the park placed a sign stating that Mind Eraser would be closed for extensive renovation. The track will be re-profiled for a smoother experience and the trains will also be replaced.

Layout

The ride starts when the train climbs a 109-ft chain lift hill. At the top, the train drops 85 feet to the right, reaching a maximum speed of 50 mph. It goes through a rollover, then a left-handed turn and then a sidewinder. The train then goes through a right turn until it passes through a double in-line twist. It makes a right turn, then a left-handed turn followed by the brake run.
