Between March 9 and March 15, 2003, Six Flags Magic Mountain's Mooseburger Lodge was closed by LA County health officials for "vermin infestation" and "failure to prevent entrance and harboring vermin." The vermin issue was resolved, and the restaurant went up to an "A" rating after having scored "B" for the past 2 seasons prior.[1]
On March 4, 2004, Six Flags St. Louis announced the addition of Mooseburger Lodge for the park's 2004 season. It took up an unused structure in the Chouteau's Market section that had previously been home to a McDonald's.[2]
The Mooseburger Lodge at Six Flags St. Louis is located in the park's Chouteau's Market section, just down the hill from the River King Mine Train. It opened in 2004, replacing the former McDonald's location.
It's assumed that Mooseburger Lodge replaced a Marriott-era restaurant named Klondike Cafe. Since 2022, Oktoberfest Food Festival has been hosted in the patio, and to expand Oktoberfest activities, the park closed down the restaurant to expand the patio for 2023. The restaurant was replaced by Yukon BBQ Pit in 2023.
