Mountain Express was a compact coaster that operated from 1973 to 1982 near the Valencia Falls Pavilion area at Six Flags Magic Mountain.
History[]
The ride originally opened in 1973 at Magic Mountain before it was under Six Flags ownership. It was closed in 1982 and replaced by the Texas Instruments Computer Discovery Center in the following year.[1][2]
The ride was moved to Magic Landing in El Paso, Texas, where it was opened in 1984 as Wildcat. However, that park closed in 1988. It was then moved to Bosque Mágico in Guadalupe, Mexico, where it opened in 1993 as Montaña Rusa. However, this park closed in 2022 and the ride is no longer known to be in operation.
