Victor Fries AKA Mr. Freeze is a super villain from DC Comics. He first appeared in Batman #121, which was released in February 1959. Freeze is an ice-based villain who wears a cryogenic suit.
In the parks[]
Mr. Freeze appears as a figure in Mr. Freeze: Reverse Blast, a reverse launched steel roller coaster at Six Flags Over Texas and Six Flags St. Louis. Both attractions opened in 1998 as Mr. Freeze and originally operated with their trains forward, but then the trains were reversed in 2012 when they became Mr. Freeze: Reverse Blast. The Mr. Freeze at both parks closely resembles the one from the DC Animated Universe (DCAU), but the attractions are not DCAU canon. In addition to the figure in the station, the Six Flags St. Louis version contains an advertisement in the outside queue that features the version of Mr. Freeze from Batman & Robin, portrayed by Arnold Schwarzenegger. Although this was added later, the ride's opening was actually originally intended to coincide with the release of Batman & Robin but did not do so because of mechanical problems at both parks.
In the Joker "4D Free Fly" coasters at Six Flags Great Adventure, Six Flags Great America, Six Flags New England, and Six Flags Over Texas, Mr. Freeze appears on a poster for the Carnival of Criminals, being given the name of "The World's Coldest Man".
