Nox is the "Demon Overlord" of Fright Fest at Six Flags Great America. He made his debut for Fright Fest 2015, and has returned every year since until the 2021 season, but returned for Fright Fest 2022.

Appearances[]

The Uprising[]

Main article: The Uprising

In The Uprising, Nox is awakened by Myles and his minions to raise the monsters of the night and unleash them into Six Flags Great America. During the subsequent parade, Nox ends the invasion procession by riding triumphantly over his funeral car (or Hummer prior to the 2018 season).

Gates of Hell[]

Main article: Gates of Hell

In Gates of Hell, Nox will occasionally appear and scare guests.

Around the park[]

During a day at Fright Fest, Nox can be seen roaming the entirety of the park, flanked by his loyal associates Azul and Akuma. Due to the successful hostile takeover of the park, Nox essentially has no boundaries as to when and where he can appear throughout the park, even being seen randomly entering theaters before shows to terrify guests. Noxist monsters, when in his presence, are likely to either praise him, shrink in fear, be emboldened to greater cruelty, or simply stare in awe.

The Witching Hour[]

During the last hour of the night, multiple Noxists will assemble at the same area as Uprsing, boasting their new appearances and their hatred of the audience below. This display summons Nox, who chastises his followers and monsterous army, saying "too many mortals have been getting away unscathed". Saying that the time has come for his forces, who have assembled around him, to "show no mercy" to the guests amongst them, Nox releases his creatures into the very front of the park, observing the chaos for the rest of the night.

Trivia[]

  • Nox was designed by J. Anthony Kosar of Kosart Studios. His original appearance was used from 2015 through 2017, and in 2018 the molds on both his mask and arm pieces were improved, using the previous mold.
