Old South, originally known as the Confederacy section, is a themed area at Six Flags Over Texas. It opened with the park in 1961.[1]
Following several minor controversies as well as real-world events, the area's historical Confederate theme has been mostly swapped with a less specific 1800s Texas theme, hence the name change in the 1990s.
