Plaza Café is a coffee shop located in Six Flags Plaza at Six Flags Magic Mountain.

History[]

The building was originally opened as The Coffee Grinder along with the Magic Mountain theme park on May 29, 1971 with the appearance of an old western watermill. After Magic Mountain introduced its own Troll mascot characters in 1972, it operated as the Troll House Cookie Factory and then the Troll House Coffee Factory in the 1970s, and then the Troll House Ice Cream Factory through the early 1980s. The initial installation of Revolution in 1976 bolted some track supports to the roof and were known to have shook the building when cars passed by. When Looney Tunes characters were reintroduced to the park in 1985, the location continued to operate as an ice cream parlor, but the Troll House theme was retired. The water wheel was later removed and ended up at the Le Chène French Cuisine restaurant nearby in Santa Clarita, California.[1]

In 2008, the location became Cyber Café and carried Dippin' Dots and Slurpee frozen drinks, along with providing internet stations and free Wi-Fi.[2]

In March 2016, it had become the Plaza Café, which removed the internet terminals.[3][4] It switched to providing Icee frozen drinks in February 2017.[5] The location was most recently renovated in March 2023 and again has the theme of a coffee shop, now serving Starbucks coffee. Dining Passes are no longer accepted at this location after the renovation. Twisted 'Wiches in the Screampunk District is recommended for menu items no longer carried at this location.
