Rapid River Run (formerly Lucy's Tugboat) is a flat ride at the Camp Snoopy area of Knott's Berry Farm in Buena Park, California.
History[]
The ride was manufactured by Zamperla and originally opened at the park as "Lucy's Tugboat" for the 2004 season. At the time, it was loosely themed after the Lucy Van Pelt character from the Peanuts comic series.[1]
Modifications[]
The surrounding area underwent renovation for the 2014 season.[1] During that time, cab of the boat was removed and the ride was renamed to "Rapid River Run" with a whitewater rafting theme to better fit the overall wilderness theme of Camp Snoopy.[2] The entrance sign features Snoopy and Woodstock's siblings.[3]
Vehicle[]
The "boat" features 6 rows of benches, which can each seat four individuals for a total capacity of up to 24 riders. Guests must be at least 42 inches tall to ride alone.
