Road Runner Express was a junior roller coaster located in Looney Tunes Adventures at Six Flags New Orleans. It operated from May 20, 2000 to August 21, 2005.
History[]
The ride was developed by Vekoma and was originally installed as Rex's Rail Runner in Jazzland at New Orleans. When the park was acquired by Six Flags, the coaster was re-themed and renamed to Road Runner's Express.[1][2] After being hit by Hurricana Katrina in August 2005, Six Flags New Orleans was closed. The coaster was salvaged and sent to Six Flags Magic Mountain in California. It was intended to be renamed to Mr. Six's Dance Coaster, but after the discontinuation of use of the character, the Road Runner theme was retained and continues to operate under the same name.
