Six Flags Season Pass 2022

Basic season passes were last available in January 2022.

The Season Pass was a form of admission that allowed guests to enter a Six Flags park anytime during an operating season, free of charge. The slogan for the passes was "Six Flags, come make it yours!"[source?]

It was marketed as having the value of paying itself in two visits. It could be bought online or in person, and the final price was all up-front at once, and not a monthly subscription. Before 2018, season passes could be paid monthly, before the option was discontinued in 2018, and removed altogether in 2020, as season pass members received an upgrade to Gold Plus Membership as a result of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Like Legacy Memberships, this type of pass was grandfathered and replaced by a short-lived Annual Pass in January 2022, followed by Annual Memberships in August of that year.

Benefits[]

Pre-2022[]

There was initially only one type of season pass for access to a single "home park". These 1-park Season Pass holders also did not have access to water parks outside of their home park. Regular season pass holders received free parking, but could not park at the Diamond reserved parking area, near the front of the park. In 2020, when reservations were expanded, season pass holders would have second priority, behind Membership holders and ahead of One-Day ticket holders.

After the COVID-19 pandemic closed all of the Six Flags parks in March 2020, the Six Flags Entertainment Corporation decided in the following September to extend all 2020 season passes through the end of the 2021 season.[1] As parks began re-opening for the 2021 season, Six Flags in May of that year began offering a complimentary upgrade to a 2-park Season Pass, which included access to a water park associated with a pass holder's home park.[2] Both types of season pass holders received perks such as access to all parks in the same area, such as access to a park's dry park and another park's Hurricane Harbor or White Water/Bay park.

Season pass holders became eligible for the Six Flags Rewards program starting in 2022. However, season pass holders were no longer eligible to receive Bring a Friend free tickets.

2022-present[]

In mid-January of 2022, the season pass evolved into the three-tiered Annual Pass. The basic "Thrill Seeker" tier only allowed for admission to one theme park and an associated water park with blackout dates; access to all available days and other parks required an upgrade to a higher tier. The basic passes did not include any perks other than standard parking.[3] Later in August, Annual Memberships were introduced as another form of admission, patterned after Legacy Memberships.
