Sierra Sidewinder is a steel spinning roller coaster located at the Camp Snoopy area of Knott's Berry Farm in Buena Park, California.
History[]
Sierra Sidewinder was manufactured by Mack Rides and opened at the park on May 26, 2007.[1] It replaced the Walter K. paddleboat ride at Knott's Landing.[2]
Design[]
Trains[]
The coaster features 2 trains with 4 cars per train. Riders are arranged 2 across in 2 rows arranged back-to-back in each car for a total of 16 riders per train. Each car can rotate its 4 riders, but is locked in place at the station for loading and unloading of passengers. They start spinning after the coaster drops from the lift hill.
