"The Thrill Capital of New York State."
―Slogan[src]Six Flags Darien Lake, also known as simply Darien Lake, is a Six Flags amusement park in Corfu, New York. The park opened in May 1981.

Darien Lake was previously owned by Six Flags from 1999 to 2006 but was then sold off to PARC Management in 2007 due to the company's growing financial issues.

Since 2018, Six Flags Darien Lake has been owned by EPR Properties and operated by Six Flags.

History[]

1964–1983: Darien Lake Fun Country[]

In 1954, the popular swimming location Darien Lake was excavated and filled.

Ten years later in 1964, Buffalo businessman and investor Paul Snyder acquired a 164-acre parcel of land bordering Darien Lake and opened a 23-site campground and picnic area.

2007–2010: PARC Management era[]
