Six Flags Fun Park is a 2009 video game developed by 7 Studios and published by Ubisoft Entertainment. It was released on October 21, 2008 for Nintendo DS and March 10, 2009 for Wii.
History[]
Development[]
Six Flags Fun Park started out as an original IP for Brash Entertainment, simply named "Fun Park". Brash later decided that the game needed a license, and so they signed a deal with Six Flags in the final few months of development. Six Flags was chosen because it would require the most minimal changes to what had already been developed. One of the existing minigames consisted of putting out fires, which Six Flags requested to be completely reworked because of a corporate aversion to fire. Six Flags Fun Park finished development in August 2008, but Brash Entertainment's financial collapse interfered with it's release. The Nintendo DS version was released in October 2008 in limited quantities, published by Brash Entertainment. The company went bankrupt before the scheduled release date of the Wii version, leading Ubisoft Entertainment to purchase the publishing rights and release the game on March 10, 2009. Just a month later, 7 Studios was acquired by Activision.
