Administrators are Six Flags Wiki users who have "sysop" rights. Six Flags Wiki policy is that we will appoint new admins when the current number of admins is insufficient towards managing the site.

User abilities
Administrators (also known as "admins" or "sysops") are trusted users who are generally chosen by Six Flags Wiki and also have access to the following rights:
These additional functions include:
- Deleting and un-deleting pages, page histories, and uploaded files.
- Locking (protecting) a page so it cannot be edited or renamed by users without admin rights or auto-confirmed status.
- Blocking IP addresses or user names from editing; and very quick "rollback" of undesirable edits.
- Editing the interface by changing system messages and skins.
Bureaucrat abilities
A bureaucrat can make other users into bureaucrats or administrators on their own wiki. However, they are not currently able to remove admin access from any user; please contact a member the community team if you need that done.
Bureaucrats can also give users the ability to "rollback" edits not made in good faith.
Responsibilites
Administrators should keep an eye on the following pages to help keep the wiki "cleaned up" and running the way it should. Administrators are expected to play an active role in helping out on any or all of these pages.
- Orphaned pages
- Uncategorized pages
- Uncategorized categories
- Unused files
- Wanted pages
- Dead-end pages
- New pages — Watch for compliance with Manual of Style
- Recent changes — Watch for vandalism; ban appropriately
- Vandalism in progress — Watch for vandalism; ban appropriately
- Trash bin — Vote and carry out decisions
- Fanon to be deleted and locked — Deleting and protecting fanon
Staff and Janitors
Some Wikia staff members have full access to Six Flags Wiki. They are shown in Special:Listusers/staff. Wikia janitors have limited administrator access to Six Flags Wiki for cleanup purposes. These users are shown on Special:Listusers/janitor.
How do I use administrator powers?
See Help:Administrators' how-to guide for a guide on using admin functions.
Becoming an administrator
For you to become an administrator, someone with bureaucrat access must make you one. If you would like to become an admin, visit Six Flags Wiki:Requests for adminship.
If there are no active bureaucrats and you wish to become an administrator or adopt the wiki, please contact the community staff.
What can administrators not do?
Administrators should not use their administrator powers to settle editing disputes; for example, to lock a page on a version he or she prefers in an editing dispute that isn't vandalism. Administrator powers should be used to help keep the wiki clear of vandalism, spam, and users who make malicious edits, but not for simple disagreements between users acting in good faith. Ideally an admin shouldn't be considered "in charge". The ideal admin is just someone who is trusted to have a few extra buttons and to use them for the benefit of the Wikia community.
Administrator abuse
If you think an administrator has acted improperly against you or another editor, you should express your concerns directly to the administrator responsible. Try to come to a resolution in an orderly and civil manner. However, if the matter is not resolved between the two parties, please post on Forum:Administrators' noticeboard.
Administrators can be removed if they continually misuse their powers. If you feel that an administrator is no longer fit to hold that position, you may post on Six Flags Wiki:Requests for removal of user rights. Before posting your request, please be sure to check that your request fulfills the requirements stated on that page.
