History[]
1974-1986: Electric Rainbow[]

In 1974, the ride opened under its original name, the Electric Rainbow. The ride had a carnival-like theme, with bright colors.[1]
1987-1993: Turbo[]
In 1987, Electric Rainbow was rethemed Turbo to fit in with the Back Street area of the park.[1]
1994-2010: Gordon Gearworks/Grinder Gearworks[]
In 1994, the Back Street was transformed into the all-new Gotham City Backlot. To match the theme of the new area, Turbo became Gordon Gearworks.[2] In 1995, the name was changed to Grinder Gearworks.[1]
2011-2021: Wonder Woman: Lasso of Truth[]

In 2011, Gotham City Backlot closed and was transformed into the all-new DC Universe area. While Batman: The Ride kept its theme, the rest of the Gotham-themed rides in the area were transformed into new ones based on DC Comics super heroes. Grinder Gearworks became Wonder Woman: Lasso of Truth.[1]
2022-present: Teen Titans Turbo Spin[]
In 2022, the park completed a major renovation of its DC Universe area with the addition of the new coaster Wonder Woman: Flight of Courage. As a result, the existing ride was renamed to Teen Titans Turbo Spin.[3]
