The Flash: Speed Force was a flat ride in DC Universe at Six Flags Magic Mountain. It opened on July 1, 2011 with the DC Universe area, and is the first attraction based on The Flash, the second being The Flash: Vertical Velocity at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom.
History[]
The ride originally opened at the park in 1974 as Himalaya, a name it retained until 1987, when the area was re-themed as the Back Street and it became Subway. With the introduction of the Gotham City Backlot area in 1994, the ride was rethemed again to the ACME Atom Smasher, with the name being changed to simply Atom Smasher in 2005.
The ride was removed after Fright Fest 2021 to make room for Wonder Woman: Flight of Courage.[1][2] The structure that housed the ride was demolished by December 2021.
