The Riddler Revenge is a suspended looping coaster (SLC) located in the Gotham City area of Six Flags New England. It originally opened as The Mind Eraser on May 24, 1997, before the park was owned by Six Flags. With the debut of Gotham City in 2018, the coaster was given a new Riddler theme to match the area, though unlike the Bolliger & Mabillard stand-up coaster at Six Flags Magic Mountain, this ride does not include the “'s” found in the other’s name.

History[]

The Mind Eraser (1997-2015)[]

The Mind Eraser opened on May 24, 1997 in the former South End area. It was manufactured by Vekoma and cost US$10 million.[1]

The Riddler Revenge (2018-present)[]

On April 7, 2018, Six Flags New England debuted the new Gotham City area of the park, featuring the newly rethemed The Riddler Revenge.[2]

Experience[]

Queue[]

First guests pass underneath the entrance and make a left turn. This would lead straight into a shed. Inside the shed, there are lockers where guests can store loose items. The queue line starts with a switchback section. Guests then exit the shed and choose either the standard line on the left or The Flash Pass line on the right. There is another switchback section with corridors. At the end, guests climb the stairs and head into the loading station.

Layout[]

After the train is locked and checked, it moves out of the station, towards the 109.3 foot chain lift hill. Then, when the train crests the lift hill, it makes a rightward U-turn drop. Next, the train goes through a roll over. Then, it makes a slight turn to the left, before a sidewinder. After the sidewinder, the train makes a 270 degree helix to the right, before a double in-line twist. Then, the train makes a U-turn to the right, before a dip. Finally, the train hits the brake run, before the train makes a right turn to the transfer track. The ride ends when the train makes another right turn to the station. As with most rides of this model, guests have complained about its roughness.
