"This Park's Making News Again" was an ad campaign in 1998-1999 for Geauga Lake, Adventure World: The Thrill Park and The Great Escape & Splashwater Kingdom before they were rebranded as Six Flags theme parks as well as for Six Flags parks like Six Flags St. Louis (1999) and Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom (1998). The music in the commercials featured a rock 'n' roll style.
Description[]
The commercials start with the logo of either of the three parks mentioned in front of a coaster and a montage of thrilling rides and water parks, followed by a preview of a new ride (examples: Nightmare at Crack Axle Canyon and Roar (Six Flags America)), then more of a montage of fun attractions. The ad ends with the logo of the park coming up and then footage of a boomerang coaster with a discount (ex: mention this ad and double your discount if you bring a can of Pepsi to The Great Escape or discount coupons from Giant Food). There are commercials talking about either Double Park of Cleveland Seaworld and Geagua Lake, a Pepsi Discount at Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom or the introduction of Six Flags Hurricane Harbor at Six Flags St. Louis with the same music.[1][2]
Lyrics[]
- This park's making news again!
- Grab your family & friends,
- it's bigger than it's ever been! (theme park name)!
- This place is made of coaster hills,
- A hundred whirring twirling crazy thrills,
- It's a mind blowing, fast growing, head spinning, wide breaking, slam bringing I wanna mark!
- (theme park name)
