Toxic Fallout was a scare zone during Fright Fest 2012 at Six Flags America.[1]
Story description[]
Years ago an enormous explosion rocked an old industrial neighborhood that had been revitalized as urban lofts. Startled, local residents rushed outside and saw their worst nightmare materialize right before their very eyes: A huge mushroom cloud consumed the sky off in the near distance, and below it an eerie glowing green fire in the middle of a dark field lit up the sky.
Alarms sounded and local firefighters from hundreds of surrounding communities attempted to reach the scene, but were thwarted by government officials whom assured them that everything was under control. When they inquired about the incident further, they were told there was nothing to worry about, this was a minor incident, and that expert personnel had been brought in to secure and cleanup the explosion.
Residents returned to their homes and everything seemed fine until four days later – black birds started to mysteriously drop out of the sky, trees shriveled up and dried, concrete streets began to crack, and local residents began to developed big blistering boils that slowly burst exposing raw flesh. People began frantically calling 911 and government officials swiftly returned to round up ailing residents for quarantine, and to contain the situation before it progressed to mass hysteria.
None of the quarantined victims were ever heard from again, and their industrial neighborhood was sectioned off with barbed wire, abandoned. Buildings were boarded up; graffiti tags cover the crumbling concrete walls of the once thriving business that are no more. To the naked eye, in the bright sunshine, it looks almost harmless though, simply a place that time has forgotten, a place that has clearly just outlived its heyday. But legend has it that something very evil now resides in the area. Some report seeing fleeting glimpses of ghastly figures lurking in the shadows from afar. Others claim they have come face to face with the most grotesque looking demons. One man even notes he was clawed up a ravenous, blood-thirsty, red-horned demon with a crazed look of despair and says he has the scar to prove it. Others say that they have even been enveloped, almost to the point of suffocation, by an overpowering evil force.
Many brave souls, including expert paranormal hunters, who have ventured into the area seeking explanations, exploring its creepy depths, chasing the mysterious shadows lurking in the dark, have vanished into thin air. The ones who have made it out alive have returned lifeless, with horrific hollowed eyes, and entranced with an inexplicable spell. Local residents that live nearby also tell of unexplained terrorizing shrieks that break the night silence, and report the lingering smell of rotting flesh.
It is believed that this industrial area sucks in those that get too close, whirling them into a disorienting world of backstreet terror, before sucking the life out of them. Park goers who choose to stay to wander into it do so at their own risk because there’s no telling what might happen.
