"If you dare to enter be aware of your surroundings at all times, unknown animal like screams have been heard deep within the unsecured vault."
―Fright Fest 2017 Guide[src]

Vault 666 was a haunted attraction during Fright Fest at Six Flags Magic Mountain. It was introduced for Fright Fest 2014, and closed after Fright Fest 2017. It was replaced by Hell Fest for Fright Fest 2018, which itself was replaced by Vault 666: Unlocked for Fright Fest 2019.

The maze told the story of a genetic engineering facility gone wrong, where half-human, half-animal hybrids have overrun the facility and are causing death and mayhem to everyone and everything inside.

History[]

In 2011, Six Flags Magic Mountain launched a multi-year, multi-million dollar expansion project aimed at improving the quality and production of their annual Fright Fest event.

For Fright Fest 2014, Six Flags announced the addition of two new mazes; Red's Revenge and Vault 666.[1]

Experience[]

Guests start in a pre-show room with a short video that provides the maze’s backstory amid oozing barrels and buzzing alarms.

In the first scene, guests enter a storage room that is filled with crates and boxes that are marked with the words "Fragile" and "Corrosive". The objects shake at random intervals as you pass through.

Going into a power-control room, the lights dim as a man is horrifically electrocuted by a loose wire amidst intense electrical sounds and flashes.

In the next room, a chain link cage holds zombies in a temporary quarantine, but the cage precariously tilts towards the guests as they walk by.
