Zydeco Zinger was a ride at Six Flags America, located in Mardi Gras. It opened in 1993.
The ride was originally part of Southwest Territory from 1993 to 2013, where it was known as Falling Star.
History[]
1993-2013: Falling Star[]
Zydeco Zinger (then Falling Star), opened in 1993.
On April 1, 1998, Time Warner sold Six Flags to Premier Parks, who merged the companies together to create Six Flags, Inc. As part of the Time Warner/Premier Parks deal, Premier Parks' owned properties were to be converted into Six Flags parks, and Adventure World became Six Flags America. Falling Star and the Southwest Territory area remained through the conversion.
2014-2023: Zydeco Zinger[]
In 2014, Falling Star was repainted and rethemed and became Zydeco Zinger in order to fit in with the new Mardi Gras section of the park.
2023-Present: Removed[]
In August 2023 Zydeco Zinger was removed from the Six Flags website, and the ride was removed from the park. It is one of two rides to be removed prior to the 2024 season next to Bourbon Street Fireball.
